We are more than just a building

Our mission is to “Love God. Grow Together. Serve Others”. We’re committed to bringing people into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, assisting them to maturity in the Christian faith, and equipping all believers to share the gospel message with as many as will listen. We are well aware that church is about people. The programs (ministries) are the structure that helps us to be effective in ministering to people and our world. We have a wide variety of programs that are age and gender specific at Christ First.

What can I expect at Christ First?

We know choosing a church can be tough. Music, teaching, ministries, outreach – there are a lot of factors that go into the decision. We want your experience here to be meaningful and it starts when you arrive. Visit our Welcome Center and feel free to ask our greeters questions. They’re here to help with anything you need from how to get your child to the right place or where the restroom is, to getting you a complimentary cup of coffee, tea or hot chocolate. We’re a “come-as-you-are” church and we figure God cares more about our hearts than our clothes. The Bible tells us

“Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7.

If you really want to know, most people wear business casual but you’ll see suits and ties here and there and a good amount of people wearing jeans. You’ll experience friendly people, a mix of worship music from hymns to contemporary and relevant messages in a comfortable environment. We want to make you feel as welcome as possible. Our Pastor

Pastor Andrew has been the pastor at Christ First since March, 2000. Andrew and Lanette met at, and graduated from, a very legalistic Bible college in Indiana. Coming out of that legalistic paradigm, pastor has a heart to help people from all backgrounds find grace and healing through the gospel of Jesus Christ. Through expository preaching, he strives to make the truths of Scripture come alive in a clear and understandable way so they might take root in the hearts and minds of the hearer. By God’s grace, pastor led the church to sell their previous property in 2004, go portable for five years, and ultimately relocate to their current property in 2009.

In his personal time, he loves reading history, riding his motorcycle, traveling to new places, & spending time with Lanette and their four children and daughter-in-law.
