Our mission is to “Love God. Grow Together. Serve Others”. We’re committed to bringing people into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, assisting them to maturity in the Christian faith, and equipping all believers to share the gospel message with as many as will listen. We are well aware that church is about people. The programs (ministries) are the structure that helps us to be effective in ministering to people and our world. We have a wide variety of programs that are age and gender specific at Christ First.
From Sunday School Classes, Bible Studies, Jr. Church, and AWANA to Youth Group, Media Booth, Grounds Crew and Fellowship Events, everyone can find a ministry to get plugged into.
We’ve been in continual ministry since 1834. Over the last 190 years, we’ve experienced a few name changes, met in various places and had different pastors lead us. As we press on, it’s easy to see we truly have a rich heritage, a bold vision and bright future!
Pastor O’Neal has served as the pastor of Christ First since March of 2000. He has a passion to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and a desire to see God work in hearts and homes to restore, rebuild, and renew broken relationships.

We’re a “come-as-you-are” church and we figure God cares more about our hearts than our clothes. The Bible tells us “Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7. If you really want to know, most people wear business casual but you’ll see suits and ties here and there and a good amount of people wearing jeans.
